From the President/Secretary
An Act of Gratitude
Dear fellow Alumni,
Greetings from your Secretary!
It is indeed an honor and a special privilege to serve all the members of the Alumni Association with an onerous task of being the Secretary of the Madura College Alumni Association (MCAA).
My connection and relativity dates back to 1961-62 to 1966-67 in Setupati High School, 1967-68 in PUC in Madura College and 1968-71 in B.Com in Madura College, beyond a period of 56 years.
In a way, for me, it is giving back to the Society which nourished me and developed me as a person and a professional later. I will always cherish this as an act and service to the Society as it involves in guiding the present Students (tomorrow's Alumni) in educating them to focus on A, B and C of their life. "A" here stands for Attitude, "B" for Behavior and "C" for Character/Conduct. That would make them more "employable".
With all your support, guidance and cooperation, we are planning to make MCAA, more vibrant, dynamic and interactive in the years to come, to carry forward the good work done in all these years.
MCAA is now been allotted a separate room in the College Premises, for which we are thankful to the Madura College Board. We are in the process of developing a Secretariat of the MCAA so that connectivity with the Alumnii would be far better and be a nodal point for the Alumnii, when they visit the College.
Please feel free to access our website and enroll yourself in large numbers and will keep you posted and updated on the developments from time to time.
CA V. Ganapathy Subramanian
Secretary - MCAA
The Managing Committee of the Madura College Alumni Association (MCAA) is pleased to welcome you aboard your website created to provide a platform for all of us Alumni to reconnect and provide increased opportunities for a meaningful engagement in the activities of our institution.
Our College has for over 125 years shaped the life of all of us. Our Association set up in 1945 has over the years evolved with the active participation of stalwart Alumnus and their philanthropic contributions.
Realizing the desire of many of the Alumnus to touch base with our College, batch mates and fellow Alumni, the present Managing Committee decided to launch this website.
PLEASE PARTICIPATE ACTIVELY
Launching of this website is only the first step. We call upon each one of you to participate actively to make our Association vibrant and the website interesting by providing content. For some of the ways in which you could contribute back to your Alma Mater please click to view our suggestions.
We invite Alumni to please register as Mentors and also help by being editor of the newsletter, coordinators of city specific chapters, moderate the blog and in any other way you think you can contribute.
Considering the need to involve all Alumni, there is no compulsion for the Alumni to be a member of the MCAA. While unrestricted access to most of the content is available to all visitors to the website, access to certain features like Mentoring, Jobs and placement opportunities and blog is restricted to registered users.
However, we would request our Alumni to become a member of our Association. The registration fee is just Rs.500/-. This would help to build a corpus. We have provided multiple payment options.
STUDENTS AND FACULTY
One unique feature of this website is that registration is open to Students and Faculty, both present and past.
We invite students please register and participate. Mentoring, Information on Placement opportunities, scholarships and Internship is provided for your benefit.
Past faculty, our alumni would love to reconnect with you and cherish fond memories. Please also register as a mentor.
The immediate priority is to reach out to all Alumni and build a large and active user base to facilitate greater and meaning full interaction. Please register and invite your friends as well as past faculty to register.
We have designed the features of your website to the best of our visualization. There is definitely scope to improve. Please provide your feedback and we shall endeavor to implement your suggestions.
